Ooopala; A meeting with the Italian sailors!
As I left my Polish neighbours to dine,
I walked up the Pobijana ulica (street), starting my wander up towards Bard (Mala Buža).
Continuing up along Ulica od Margarite where I stopped to see, where were all the tourists were going?
As it was too crowded, I decided to continue to walk up the street.
Suddenly a strong energy stopped me, and I said to myself;
“Stop. Go back. Wait for the crowd to disappear & then go back!”
I waited patiently, then entered the gate.
The powerful moonlight was beaming through the door opening, shining its magical light upon me.
Covered by green branches framing the outlook post.
After I had a moment for myself, I decided to go out again into the streets of Dubrovnik.
Just as I was exiting Buža bar secret door, I stumble into a high piched cheer of:
“Ooopala!”
There was a bunch of happy people staring at me – ALL – with BIG smiles!
They looked at me and asked;
“Hey, what´s in there?”
I said “I don´t know, but it´s beautiful have a look!”
They said: “Come join us!”
I said: “No, thank you. See you. Enjoy.”
I continued walking up the Ulica od Kastela all the way around towards Ulica na Andirji,
Ulica od Rupa towards Ulica od Domina.
It felt good to be able to explore the city walls during a quiet time of the evening.
Streets were calm and there were only a few cats laying around half asleep.
Pure stillness.
While wandering about, I stumbled upon M´arden.
Deciding to walk in and check it out.
It is an enchanting place with a cosy atmosphere.
As it was quite late and I was alone, I thought:
“Oh, how fun it would´ve been to be here
with a bunch of really good friends,
soaking in the atmosphere.
Oh well, maybe next time.”
I said thank you for the visit and decided to venture out into the streets to see what I would find next.
Just as I stepped out from the gate doors to pin the location of the restaurant down, to my great SURPRISE I hear:
“ Ooopala!”
“There you are again!
We are following you in your footsteps!
Where are you going?”
Immediately I am filled with joy.
As I know, THIS is the true power of manifestation! I said:
“Oh, I was just on my way further down the …”
I barely had time to finish the sentence, when the gentleman shouts out:
“THIS time you are going with us!
Let´s go – we have been experiencing magical places thanks to you – let´s have a drink!”
The whole crowd of 6 people burst into a loud
”YEEEEEIY!”
Off we went, entering M´arden with my newlyfound friends!
I learned that the Gentleman is a family friend who is there to make sure the young peoples´ journey runs smoothly.
There was a couple, a friend of the friends and two twins.
One of the twins had injured her right arm on the first day that they arrived in Dubrovnik marina.
She´s right-handed and had difficulties adjusting to life on the left side.
Her sister is left-handed and does some really beautiful sketches.
They are a bunch of free-spirited artists.
True gems!
As I sat next to the right-handed sister, I saw that she has a beautiful tattoo.
Asking her, what the meaning of it is.
She said lamp.
As she was growing up, they had a lot of small lamps all around the house that she would carry.
It holds a deep meaning for her and she finds them pretty.
Although under the tattoo it says – BUGIA – which in Italian means LIE.
Her tattoo has a double meaning – a lamp; a light to find your way in the darkness.
& a lie; watch out for the lies that lie underneath the surface of a cunning face.
A beautiful meaning that sincerely spoke to me.
Below is a drawing from the left-handed sister from her personal collection of drawings.
May you find your own guiding light that will light up the darkness and expose the lies lying around in your house.
Trust that the Universe is working in harmony with you.
Daily positive thinking can deepen your faith in yourself.
